US Supreme Court visit

I was visiting family in Washington DC last month, and decided to pop into the US Supreme Court to see what they were arguing.

Huge queue outside, and we were guaranteed a long wait, airport style security and only 3 minutes in the courtroom.  But then, how often do you get to sit in on the Supreme Court? So we waited, and Googled the case.


Sydney/Queenstown wins bid to host ICCA 2018

Every two years, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) hosts its international conference in some attractive or relevant spot to international arbitration – the two are not mutually exclusive.  This year the conference was in Miami, and in 2016, it will be in Mauritius.  There were over 1,000 delegates in Miami in April, so this is not a small event.
